Join us in the studio for a level-up beginner class where sewists (and people that sew) learn how to make a quilt-as-you-go zipper pouch.
By the end of class, you’ll have the skills, knowledge, and confidence to make those cool zipper pouches you always wish you knew how to make, but now you do!
Level:
Confident beginner — for adults and teens 13 and up.
You Will Learn:
- Strip piecing
- Installing a zipper!
- Basic machine-quilting techniques
- Installing a liner
- 3-D construction essentials
- And plenty more little tidbits of sewing wisdom
You Will Need:
- Yourself! All materials are included.

Your Teacher:
Bailey Dermarderosian is an accomplished sewist and quilter who loves hand-stitching, sustainable fabrics, and scrappy quilts. She is our resident beginner teacher at the Fab Lab, patiently and joyfully helping students of all ages and skill levels. She is also actively involved in several local quilt guilds and is a total maven of hand-stitching.
