Fab Lab Fabric + Quilt
Saturday, May 16, 10am-4pm
Join us for an in-depth workshop exploring the art of fabric weaving to create a magical tumbling block texture.
During your time in the studio, you’ll learn how to prepare, weave, and finish fabric strips to create a dimensional woven block sample. Your finished piece could become a quilted wall hanging, tote bag, placemat, or the beginning of an even larger project.
This workshop includes five hours of hands-on instruction, plus a one-hour lunch break. Students should plan to bring lunch or purchase food off-site.
Some specialty materials will be provided by the instructor. Students will bring a few basic supplies listed below.

Your Teacher:
Tina van Roggen discovered the joy of sewing when she was 9 years old. By the time she was 12, her parents got her a sewing machine because she was using her mom's machine so much to make clothes for fun. Today, Tina works in quilting, bag-making, and fabric weaving, and is actively involved in several local quilt guilds.
