Join us in the studio for a total beginner class where you will learn how to make friends with a sewing machine, and make an absolutely adorable knot bag that you can proudly say, "I made it!"

By the end of class, you’ll have the skills, knowledge, and confidence to make get started with your own sewing. 

Level:

Total Beginner — for adults and teens 13 and up.

You Will Learn:

• Measuring and cutting fabric
• Using sewing machine
• Basic stitching
• Simple bag construction techniques

Your Teacher:

Bailey Dermarderosian is an accomplished sewist and quilter who loves hand-stitching, sustainable fabrics, and scrappy quilts. She is our resident beginner teacher at the Fab Lab, patiently and joyfully helping students of all ages and skill levels. She is also actively involved in several local quilt guilds and is a total maven of hand-stitching.
