Fab Lab Fabric + Quilt

$150.00 USD

Part creative retreat, part quilt camp, this six-session series invites you to explore the deeper dimensions of your creative practice.

Beyond patterns, blocks, and techniques lies a more personal question: What is uniquely yours to express?

Through guided creative exercises, journaling prompts, design explorations, and playful sewing challenges, you'll learn to recognize and trust your own artistic voice. Together we'll explore inspiration, intuition, visual language, color, curiosity, and the creative habits that help original ideas emerge.

Questions we'll explore include:

• What draws your attention and imagination?
• What themes, colors, shapes, and stories continually call to you?
• How do you move beyond following patterns and begin making creative choices of your own?
• What does it mean to trust your artistic instincts?

This is a supportive, judgment-free space for experimentation, reflection, and discovery. Whether you dream of designing your own quilts, developing a more personal creative practice, or simply reconnecting with the joy of making, Quilt Lab offers a place to explore.

Optional field trip to the Museum of Fine Arts will be scheduled with class participants.

Level:

  • For adults, any level is welcome who can operate a sewing machine comfortably.

You'll need:

  • A journal and pen/pencil for writing and sketching. All other materials are included.

Your Teacher:

Allison Mondel, owner of the Fab Lab, loves to play with color, design, and crazy ideas. She learned to sew as a 7th grader, took a very long break, and rediscovered the rapturous joy of quilting two years ago. Allison loves teaching and sharing the creative process with her students.
